07 January 2020New Strength and Balance class starting at the hub!

A new strength and balance class will be starting at the hub, run by Gillian, on Thursday 16th January at 2pm.

This class is aimed at helping  you to become stronger and improve your flexibility and balance.

Exercises are done supported by a chair or seated.

07 January 2020New Computer Drop-in Session starting at the hub!

We have a new computer drop-in session starting at the hub on Thursday 16th January, run by Michael White. If you'd like to learnn more about using computers, please pop down between 10.00 and 12.00 This session will run at this time every Thursday in January, to allow us to gauge interest.

18 December 2019Wilderness Challenge

The BCC Trustees were delighted to be presented with a cheque for £800 on Sunday 15th December from the Wilderness Challenge.

A huge thank you to those who took part and raised such a fantastic sum.

 

18 December 2019BCC AGM

We held our AGM on Saturday 23rd November and were delighted to see some of the Friends of BCC there. We elected 6 new Trustees and also heard from Campbell Mair, the Managing Director of Highland Home Carers.

04 July 2019New Foot Care Service!

We have a new foot care service set up at the hub. The first session took place in June and the next date is set up for 28 August. Appointments available from 10.30am onwards. Plese get in touch if you'd like to know more.

01 May 2019Art Therapy Group and Stitch and Save

We have not one but two new activities starting at the hub!

We have an art therapy grouo starting on Thursday 2nd May at 2pm. This is for all abilities and for anyone who would benefit physically or mentallyy from getting involved in art along with other people.

We asos have a Stitich and Save session starting on Wednesday 15th May at 2pm. Thisis for anyone who has items of clothing that need mending but either doesn't know how to do it, or is no longer able to. Come along and meet Alison who will be armed with her sewing machine!

Why not pop down to see us for a cup of tea or coffee and a warm welcome!

We have a range of books, magazines, and jigsaws, plus cards and a chess set. Pop down on your own or come along with friends.

11 April 2019Movin' Aboot!

We are starting a Movin' Aboot session at the hub. The first session will take place on Monday 6th May at 11am.

For those of you who attended the opening day for the extended hub, you will have had the chance to take part or watch a taster session, which was good fun and got those endorphins going! Movin' Aboot is a form of exercise to music which takes place while you are seated, so can be done by anyone.

Sessions will be led by Morag MacDonald Pickthall who is trained in delivering this form of exercise.

Why not pop along on the 6th to have a go!

Music group!

We have a music group starting at the Hub.

If you play an instrument and would like to play along with other people, or just enjoy listening to music, why not come down to the hub on Tuesday 9th April for 10am.

The kettle will be on!

A date has now been set for the official opening of the Hub. A Friends letter will be issued very shortly with the details but in the meantime, please save the date!
