One of the key aims of BCC is to reduce social isolation and to support those most vulnerable within the community.
Vital to achieving this are the variety of regular community social gatherings organised by dedicated BCC volunteers, details of which are listed below.
Remember the local community transport scheme can take you to any of these events!
If you have an idea for an activity which you feel would meet a need in the community and is not listed below, please get in touch.

Social coffee morning hosted at the Hub on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, from 10-12am.
Meets at the Hub on Tuesdays at 10am. Session for those who play instruments and want to play along with others, or those who just want to come along for a cup of tea/coffee and to listen.
Come along and exercise to music while sitting down. Great for flexibility, cardiovascular health and fun! The session is run by Morag MacDonald Pickthall who is trained in leading Movin' Aboot sessions. 11am on Monday mornings. (Frequency still to be determined.)
No charge made for events (with the exception of the Seniors Lunch Club and the Broth and Blether) but donations welcome. Events are a great opportunity to gather together with friends for a catch up, or perhaps invite along those neighbours who are unable to get out much.
